“Finally we lost him! very nonsense low budget movie trying to raise local standards without providing the necessary amenities! Now we’ve lost a star, father, a son, a husband and innocent crew members hustling to feed their families! Adanma Luke you do this one”
Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has called out Luke Adanma, the producer of the movie that claimed the life of Junior Pope and three other crew members who were involved in boat accident while coming back from a movie shoot.
Sarah furiously took to her Instagram account to lavish blame on the producer of the movie “the other side of life” alleging that it is her low budget that caused the catastrophic event that led to the loss of the crew members, including Junior Pope.
She wrote: “Finally we lost him! very nonsense low budget movie trying to raise local standards without providing the necessary amenities! Now we’ve lost a star, father, a son, a husband and innocent crew members hustling to feed their families! Adanma Luke you do this one”.
The post however elicited several reactions, while most fans and colleagues supported the view of Sarah Martins and blame the producer for not providing life jacket for the crew members, others differed, including actress Destiny Etiko.
Destiny felt Sarah’s post was inappropriate at this time and expressed her disapproval in Sarah’s comment section.
She wrote: “There’s time for everything Sarah na haba… this is totally wrong”
Reacting to Destiny Etiko’s post, somebody wrote: “Lack of accountability is Nigerias number one problem. Destiny is stupid plus those illiterates that took him to the river to do rituals. All of them should be lock up for life imprisonment. This is barbaric reasoning should stop. Nigerians are found of running to false prophet, prayer houses and native doctor when they are sick instead of medical doctor.”
Muna Saphire wrote: “It’s carelessness from all involved, this is a careless and avoidable death, first off, government should make it mandatory for every boat to have life jackets, each passenger must wear one. but in this case whereby, they didn’t provide one, you as a passenger have the right to demand for one from your employer or reject the job… safety first. no need taking unnecessary risks …. May their Souls Rest in peace Amen”
Recall that Jnr Pope and four other members of crew for Adanma’s movie were heading back from their location when the boat they were in capsized. Videos shared online show Jnr Pope and others had no life jacket on them during the boat trip.
