Nigerian actress Funke Akindele has pledged to feature the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service in her next film. This fulfils a promise she made during a recent visit to the agency.
Jubril Gawat, the Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Governor of Lagos State, disclosed this via his X account on Saturday.
During a courtesy visit to the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service at its office in Alausa in July, Akindele expressed her strong interest in collaborating and working closely with the Fire Service. She announced her plans to actively incorporate fire prevention themes in her upcoming film, with the goal of significantly reducing the incidence of fire outbreaks in the State.
The collaboration is focused on providing comprehensive education to the general public about the various fire hazards that exist in both residential and commercial settings. Additionally, it seeks to advocate for and encourage the implementation of proactive measures aimed at preventing fires from occurring in the first place.
